An ode to thee

Thy eyes: dreamy
Beyond my comprehension,
Looking through me...
And my stark nudity audacious,
Yet a maligned frailty, ...and surrender!

Thy touch: divine
Hands clasping mine,
Containing fulfilment and silent peace.....
A shadow bearing me,
A light so dark!

Thy scent: daffodil
Falling petals on rain fed marshes,
Pacifying the insatiable....
Sacred prayer flowers,
Kept in a broken vase!

Thy voice: dulcet
A hundred instruments in harmony,
A crescendo and silence....
The sweet whisper of a silent breeze,
Alas! A perfect vacuum!

Me a paralysed Caliban,
A blank stare,
The violent rage of the oceans.....
A black iron heart,
Yet, a love so complete and a devotion so fervid!...

Death of a rat

Ah! (again) the passing thought,
Bolting through the neural pot .
The will, it steers, the falling arrears....
Enlightenment! alleviating ferocious fears.

Think once of the paralyzed rodent,
Struck by the venomous snake bite
Falling raindrops on sand – (the scent).....
The perfect death bed: an ordinary respite.

As the snake makes the last move,
A smiling rodent finds his muse.
And I wonder which was the final nail,
The snake, the venom or the truth assail ....

Following infinity

An inertial movement called life,
battling fiercely the daily strife.
The sharp edge of a blunt knife....

I stand relatively still,
between a revolting volcano
and a sacred hill....
where the vulture preys a dormant kill.

Holding my rapier, I seek eternity,
A brazen sun vowing divinity,
My eyes sight a fading infinity.

I take the less beaten path,
The power of courage
fears no wrath.
A bruised body, the aftermath...

I make my honest last attempt,
Infinity was all I dreamt,
blood oozing from every vent.

And just when I thought
that I had done a lot,
The same sacred hill,
my sight caught.

I now prepare for the next equinox,
My dream, to my heart it talks,
but the vicious circle: the paradox.
